Planning a Celebration of Life!

Planning a celebration of life can be a meaningful and healing way to honor the life of someone who has passed away. With the lush greenery and gorgeous views, our Club is the perfect place to host your day of remembrance. Below is a list of helpful steps to assist you in planning a Celebration of Life.

CHOOSE YOUR DATE & DETERMINE THE GUEST LIST

To start planning the day, it is important to select a date that is convenient for the majority of the guests. You also must decide who you want to invite to the Celebration of Life. Guests can include family members, close friends, colleagues, and acquaintances of the person being celebrated.

CHOOSE WHERE YOU WOULD LIKE TO HOLD THE SERVICES

The memorial service can be celebrated almost anywhere! Select between a church, private home, funeral home, public meeting space, beach, park, and more. You will want to choose a place that is both meaningful to the person being celebrated and convenient for those you are inviting.

CHOOSE YOUR THEME

Consider incorporating a theme that reflects the personality and interests of the person being celebrated. For example, if they were an avid gardener, you could decorate the venue with flowers and plants. Using decorations that reflect the theme brings some warmth into the venue so your guests can remember the person they loved.  Include photos, mementos, and other items that are meaningful to the individual you are celebrating.

CREATE A PROGRAM

Develop a program that includes speeches, readings, and music. Encourage guests to share their memories and stories about the person being celebrated.

PLAN THE CATERING

Decide on the type of food and drinks you want to serve during the event. Our Club has a full menu specifically created for these types of celebrations, so it is quick and easy for you to choose what you would like to offer.

ARRANGE FOR AUDIOVISUAL EQUIPMENT

Our Club has all your technical needs in house. If you are planning to show a slideshow of images or video of the person being celebrated, please be sure to let us know beforehand we can plan accordingly and avoid any technical difficulties during the event.

CREATE & SEND OUT INVITATIONS

Now that you have your day set up, it’s time to create and send out invitations to the guests. Be sure to include the date, time, location, and any special requests or instructions. These events are often planned very quickly, so we recommend using a digital invitation so guests will receive it in time.
